Certified translations are for official uses where your requester requires certification to verify that the translation is complete and accurate. This type of translation is commonly required for submission to government authorities, universities, courts and for visa applications. The translation must be a literal word for word translation of all visible text to satisfy the completeness requirement. Translators do not add or remove text or interpret the meaning behind the text.
A certified translation includes a signed statement from the translator or translation company confirming that the translation is complete and accurate. A notarised translation adds an extra layer of verification. A notary public checks the identity of the person signing the certification and witnesses the signature. Some authorities accept certified translations, while others specifically request notarised translations. We can advise you on what is required based on your checklist.

In most cases you do not need to submit your physical originals. We can work from clear scanned copies or photos of your documents that you upload through our website or send by email. If a notary public or another authority needs to see the original document, we will let you know and arrange the appropriate process.

Once you approve and make payment, we begin the translation and keep you updated until you receive your certified or notarised documents.
Our standard fee is 150 SGD per document for common Malaysian personal documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates and SPM or education certificates. If your document is longer than usual or has multiple pages, we may adjust the quote accordingly, but we will always confirm the price with you in advance. There are no hidden fees and you only proceed once you are comfortable with the quote.
You receive a PDF softcopy of every translation by email. For notarised translations, hardcopies that carry the notary public certification are also prepared. You can choose to collect the hardcopies or to have them delivered to a Singapore address via courier, depending on what your requester allows.
Most single page Malaysian personal documents can be translated and certified or notarised within 24 to 48 hours after payment, provided we have clear copies and all required information. Larger sets of documents or more complex cases may take longer.
